In her current role as Senior Director of Global Operations for Marriott International, Shannon brings over two decades of expertise in hospitality operations, talent development, and customer experience to enhance guest satisfaction across Marriott’s global portfolio, where she currently focuses on supporting the company’s sustainability and supplier inclusivity efforts. Her prior contributions include developing tailored training solutions for the company’s luxury brands, including St. Regis, The Ritz-Carlton, EDITION, The Luxury Collection, and W Hotels, as well as delivering mission-critical training worldwide during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Committed to developing the next generation of business leaders, Shannon served as an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University for nearly a decade, where she was recognized with the Outstanding Faculty Award in 2019. During her tenure, she designed and taught courses on guest service, human capital management, and global contemporary issues in hospitality. Shannon continues to contribute to the industry as Vice-Chair of the Education and Certification Advisory Committee for the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.  Her insights on hospitality, leadership, and academia have been featured in Skift, HotelExecutive.com, and Harvard Business Publishing’s Inspiring Minds.
