ATWG Letter of Support for Tentative Agreement Between Railroad Unions and Management
SNAC International commends the U.S. House of Representatives for passing legislation yesterday to avert a rail strike and urges the Senate to follow. “We are pleased to see the House exercise leadership and take affirmative action to avoid a national rail shutdown. Such a shutdown would cause major supply chain disruptions, preventing snack manufacturers from meeting consumer demand. In the coming days, the Senate is slated to consider the legislation that passed the House yesterday, which would effectively ratify a rail labor union deal.
