ATWG Letter of Support for Tentative Agreement Between Railroad Unions and Management

SNAC International commends the U.S. House of Representatives for passing legislation yesterday to avert a rail strike and urges the Senate to follow. “We are pleased to see the House exercise leadership and take affirmative action to avoid a national rail shutdown. Such a shutdown would cause major supply chain disruptions, preventing snack manufacturers from meeting consumer demand. We are hopeful the Senate will follow suit.”  – Christine Cochran, President and CEO, SNAC International In the coming days, the Senate is slated to consider the legislation that passed the House yesterday, which would effectively ratify a rail labor union deal.
