(Arlington, VA, February 1, 2020) SNAC International, the leading international trade association of the global snack industry, today announced the the launch of the new SNX Education and Collaboration Forum, previously scheduled for March 2021, will be delayed to March 2022, taking place in Phoenix, AZ. Additionally, SNAXPO, the snack industry’s only vertically integrated supply chain trade show will be rescheduled to March 28-30, 2021 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“Over the last month, SNAC International was faced with the difficult decision of having to cancel and reschedule its events due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Elizabeth Avery, President & CEO, SNAC International. “By rescheduling SNAXPO’s full equipment showcase to 2021, we’re affording our supplier members the opportunity to demo their latest innovations to snack manufacturers from around the globe, without having to wait until 2022.”
SNX, the new forum, will be the snack industry’s premier thought leadership and networking event. There will be three structured areas for education and supplier/customer engagement:
• The Education Arena: a thought leadership platform dedicated to keynote speakers, concurrent sessions and the SNAC Tank Pitch Competition.
• The Experience Zones: a novel concept comprised of five zones that will lead attendees through the snack manufacturing process, beginning with raw materials and ending with the finished products. Each zone will feature supplier kiosks, pop-up education presentations and producer-supplier engagement areas.
• Supplier Suites: dedicated hotel suites will be transformed into meeting rooms and display areas for snack suppliers, providing a private venue for producer-supplier conversations and planning on products, sourcing, operations, supply chain efficiency, sustainability and other relevant topics.
“By pushing each of our main events – SNAXPO and SNX – back one year due to the global pandemic, we remain on course to execute the biennial rotation of our two distinct, but integrated main events, bringing enhanced educational and networking value to all of our members in unique ways,” concluded Ms. Avery.
