Amy Walter, National Editor of the Cook Political Report and Former Political Director of ABC News to Keynote SnackPAC Reception at SNAXPO19 in Orlando, FL

Arlington, VA – SNAC International is pleased to announce that Amy Walter, National Editor of the Cook Political Report, and one of Washingtonian Magazine’s “Top 50 Journalists” will serve as keynote speaker at the SnackPAC reception, held at SNAXPO19 on April 1 in Orlando, FL.

“We are thrilled to provide our members the opportunity to hear from one of the best political analysts of this era,” said Elizabeth Avery, President & CEO. “Advocacy is one of SNAC’s three strategic pillars and SnackPAC – the only political action committee representing snack industry interest in Washington, DC – is a critical mechanism for amplifying the voice of our members on Capitol Hill.”

As former Political Director of ABC News, Amy Walter built a reputation as an accurate, objective, and insightful political analyst with unparalleled access to campaign insiders. Known as one of the best political journalists covering Washington, Walter has provided analysis on nearly every major political program on television. She is currently the National Editor of the non-partisan Cook Political Report, and provides weekly analysis on the popular “Politics Monday” segment on the PBS Newshour. Every Friday, Walter hosts the nationally-syndicated public radio show WNYC’s “The Takeaway.” She is a regular panelist on NBC’s Meet the Press and CBS’s Face the Nation, and also appears on Special Report with Bret Baier on FOX.

The annual SnackPAC reception at SNAXPO provides a venue for industry leaders to network and learn how the changing political landscape impacts the industry’s most pressing regulatory issues.  To broaden support and understanding of the importance of SNAC’s advocacy agenda, this year SNAC has extended a special invitation to members of WinS (Women in Snacks), a newly launched initiative aimed at fostering leadership development for women snack industry executives, and graduates of  SNAC’s popular Georgetown University Emerging Leaders Program.

SNAXPO19 (March 31-April 2, Orlando) is the leading supply chain conference and trade show for the global snack industry, bringing together snack producers, suppliers and partners from all segments of the industry. SNAXPO19 will feature industry-leading education, with four dedicated educational tracks, as well as two keynote general sessions and an exhibit hall that serves host to breakthrough food processing technologies, emerging ingredients and flavors, innovative packaging solutions and more.
